Finding parks and trails in Lakewood
News ImageLakewood Online has two features for planning recreational activities and fitness workouts. The Park Finder and Trails and Routes pages contain collections of information and links about city parks, facilities, and popular fitness routes.
The Park Finder page groups short profiles on each of the city’s major parks and facilties with either Yahoo or Google map links. The bottom of the page features a library of recreation-related documents.

The Trails and Routes page includes details on neighborhood fitness routes and nature trails. Routes are listed at the bottom of the page. The page also shows cycling links highlighting Rynerson Park as a convenient trailhead for the San Gabriel River Bike Trail.

News ImageeMagazines,  RSS content, and personal service accounts all help residents connect to their city. Lakewood's weekly eMagazines and RSS feeds provide timely news, links and event information. The eMagazine Archive provides a sampling of these illustrated editions that give insight into the community, issues and history. Webcasts of CityTV video segments are also online. All these are free Lakewood Online services and subscribers may opt-out at any time.

Online recreation sign-ups getting heavy use and rave reviews

Registration for summer programs is going on now. Seventy percent of sign-ups were completed using eCatalog.
