Halloween fun at eight Lakewood parks October 31

Lakewood's traditional Halloween Carnivals will offer fun and safety for youngsters on the year's scariest night. Special carnival activities are scheduled for Tuesday, October 31, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Biscailuz, Bloomfield, Bolivar, Boyar, Del Valle, Mayfair, Palms and San Martin parks.

“Haunted houses” for little ghosts and goblins to venture inside will be available at Bolivar, Del Valle, Palms and San Martin Parks.

Each park will have a special theme:

  • Biscailuz Park: "California"
  • Bloomfield Park: "Moana"
  • Bolivar Park: "Marvel/DC Superheroes"
  • Boyar Park: "Lego Batman"
  • Del Valle Park: "Disney Villains”
  • Mayfair Park: "A Spooky Halloween"
  • Palms Park: "Super Mario Bros"
  • San Martin Park: "Peanuts"

In addition, packaged snack items will be sold at Bloomfield Park to benefit Lakewood Special Olympics. Mayfair Park will host Mr. Lou's Food Truck.

There will be inflatables at Bolivar and Mayfair Parks for an additional fee.
