Registration for the Project Shepherd Backpack Program begins Monday, June 24 and ends Friday, August 2.
Children ages 3-18 (preschool through high school) are eligible to receive a backpack.
Lakewood residents can call the Burns Community Center at 562-925-7512 to register over the phone.
Backpacks will be distributed the second week of August by appointment.
