The project is expected to cost approximately $8 million. Soccer mini-pitch, lighting and upgrades to basketball courts at Palms Park

Project completed in 2023:

Palms Park Mini Pitch

• New soccer mini-pitch court installed. Measure L funding was used in combination with a major donation from the LA Galaxy Soccer Club, their corporate sponsor Herbalife, and the U.S. Soccer Foundation. The inspiration and support for the mini-pitch came from Jalen Neal, a star with the Galaxy who grew up in Lakewood.

• Measure L funding was used to provide lighting for the mini-pitch, and to renovate and upgrade the nearby basketball courts.
