After more than 40 years in operation, the Burns Community Center was renovated in 2018 to provide improved disabled access, updated restrooms and a new elevator.
In addition, a remodeled community room is now available to be used by residents for parties and private functions.
The Burns Community Center is home to Lakewood’s Meals on Wheels program and the Mothers at Work childcare center.
Burns is located at 5510 Clark Ave., just south of Mayfair Park.

Burns Community Center is open 7 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. weekdays.
The Community Room is available to rent on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Closed on Sundays.
