Lakewood’s adult sports program is a great place to stay active, compete and have fun.

The program offers various opportunities for adults of all ages!

Registration packets, schedules, standings and statistics are posted below for each sport.

Softball leagues

Each league plays schedules consisting of between 10-12 games for each team plus playoffs for some leagues.

League opportunities include:

  • Men’s Slow Pitch – Wednesday & Friday nights
  • Men's Wood Bat Slow Pitch – Friday nights & Sunday afternoons
  • Ko-Rec (mixed) Slow Pitch – Monday, Tuesday & Thursday evenings or Sunday afternoons 

Lakewood's playing fields are manicured and maintained daily for adult softball leagues.

Women's Volleytennis

Volleytennis is a fast-paced game played with a volleyball on a volleyball court with a tennis-height net.  This is a low-pressure, high-participation sport.

Teams play approximately ten matches, each match consists of three games.

Free Play Basketball and Volleyball at Hoover Gym

Drop in for some free play of adult sports!

Adults/Teens drop-in schedule

Basketball

Drop-in play will be organized and monitored by recreation staff. Single court. No registration required.

Adults/Teens: Wednesdays, 6:30 - 9 p.m. 

Active+ Adults (50+): Mondays, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Volleyball

Free evening, friendly volleyball competition is ongoing at the Hoover Middle School gymnasium. 

Adults/Teens: Thursdays, 6:30 - 9 p.m.

Recreation staff will monitor play. Single court. No registration required. 

 

  

Active+ Sports

Basketball Free Play

Drop-in play at the Hoover Gym will be organized and monitored by recreation staff. Single court. No registration required.

Held Monday evenings from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

PIckleball

Pickleball is a great sport for older adults, offering plenty of fun and physical activity but less wear-and-tear due to its smaller court size. It's a combination of badminton, ping pong and tennis and is easy to learn.
